In 1977 and 1978, at the request of Grenada, the item “Establishment of an agency or a department of the United Nations for undertaking, co-ordinating and disseminating the results of research into unidentified flying objects and related phenomena” was included in the agenda of the General Assembly 32nd (agenda item 123) and 33rd (agenda item 126) sessions.
The Indexes to the Proceedings of the General Assembly for these sessions list the documents issued. The Annexes to the General Assembly Official Records (GAOR) for the sessions reproduce key documents issued.
Draft resolutions sponsored by Grenada in each session were not pressed to vote and were not adopted.
On this topic, the General Assembly adopted decisions 32/424 (p.231 of A/32/45) and 33/426 (p. 237 of A/33/45).
